Just Eat is an online food order and delivery service that acts as an intermediary between independent take-out food outlets and customers. It is headquartered in London and operates in 13 countries in Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The platform allows customers to search for local take-out restaurants to place orders online, and to choose from pick-up or delivery options.

To enable Just Eat to refurbish the 4 floors they occupy in Fleet Place House, they required an office relocation company to assist with the planning and move implementation for the relocation of over 450 staff with emphasis on eliminating as many double moves as possible.

Our key tasks

Phase 1

  • Internal transfer of over 250 staff across 4 floors to enable the clearance of the 7th floor ready for refurbishment

  • Supply packing crates for personal belongings, files, and paperwork

  • Relocation of desktop IT equipment

  • Relocation of furniture

  • Complete the relocation over a single weekend

  • Provide post-move support on the Monday following providing support to staff as required

Phase 2

  • Relocate 150 people

  • Supply packing crates for personal belongings, files, and paperwork

  • Relocation of desktop IT equipment

  • Relocation of furniture

  • Complete the relocation over a single weekend

  • Provide post-move support on the Monday following providing support to staff as required

Phase 3

  • Relocate 100 people

  • Supply packing crates for personal belongings, files, and paperwork

The Challenges

Phase 1 included the internal transfer of over 250 staff across all 4 floors to enable the clearance of the 7th floor ready for refurbishment. Services included the supply of packing crates for personal effects, files and paperwork along with the relocation of desktop IT equipment and furniture. We provided a full IT Disconnection & Reconnection service, which included a full pre-audit and final cable management solution.

All system furniture was dismantled by BCL and rebuilt to the modified configuration laid out by plans provided.

The key to success

The key to the success of Just Eat's refurbishment move at their London headquarters rested on a detailed plan and organisation, along with being on hand for Just Eat's staff when they returned to work on Monday.
