Manchester has a thriving tech start-up sector built on a solid foundation of the largest digital skillset outside of London and much cheaper office rent than the capital.

One of the many challenges facing a start-up is growth, a small business especially in the tech sector can have sudden increases in customers and workload and thus need to expand accordingly. More often than not, growth will require the company to relocate to new premises. At BCL, we can assist with what is usually a company’s first relocation project.

BCL can provide assistance for any size of relocation, we do not just move large businesses, we move 1-10 staff offices, right up to 300-400 staff and upwards. We also realise that the growing trend for new businesses is to rent space in serviced offices, therefore when it comes to moving it may not involve any furniture it will just be a relocation consisting of IT systems and office contents.

The most important aspect for a digital based tech company is their IT systems, BCL recognises this and we can offer a range of solutions for relocating computers, servers, printers etc. We always pack and protect each computer in a purpose-made IT box and anti-static bubble bag. Each computer will be pre-labelled with a BCL label so that upon delivery we can unpack the computer onto the correct desk in the new office space. In addition to packing we can also offer a decommissioning and recommissioning service to minimise downtime for your staff. Server relocation can be assessed on an individual basis due to their complexity and a relocation proposal will be produced.
