The Ivy

Project details

The Ivy in Manchester needed to make room for a VIP event by temporarily clearing their furniture with zero disruption to their customers. 

BCL were contracted and commenced the planning phase. On the day of the event, BCL arrived at the restaurant at 06.30 to clear the freestanding furniture. This was held and then redelivered 19 hours later at 01.30 in readiness for the following day’s custom.

The Challenges

On such a project with an exacting and time critical schedule – it was essential that BCL had everything meticulously planned & prepared. Protection of the unique bespoke furniture was also of the utmost importance. The move went exactly to plan with the loading being completed in time for breakfast and the redelivery finished in time for everyone involved to have a small amount of rest in what was left of the night.
